Sensitivity Screening

Sensitivity screening is done with an instrument known as the MSA.

The MSA is used to determine which foods or environmental factors cause imbalances in our vital energy. Many times the foods that we are consuming or the environmental factors that we are exposed to are making us ill. With the MSA, we are able to screen many items in a relatively short period of time. In many cases, items will show up in sensitivity screening which do not show up on traditional allergy tests. Personal products can also be tested.

How is the testing performed?
You will be holding a brass rod in one hand while the technician uses a probe to take readings at specific locations on your hands. There is only the possible discomfort of having the probe tip pressed against your skin. There are no needles and your skin will not be broken.

How many items can I be screened for?
There is no limit as to the number of items that you can be screened for. Typically, a client will be screened for a list of 100 or 200 items. There is an extensive database of foods and environmental items available to be screened. Your session can be customized to ensure that you are screened for items that you are exposed to. You may also bring any number of items of your own to be screened. Some examples may include energy bars, medications, vitamins, laundry soaps, make-up or other personal care products.

Here’s What Others Have Experienced:

“I have had stomach problems since I was 10 years old. I saw three different doctors who put me on medications, and two gastrointestinal specialists who suggested I may have a food allergy but they never determined what was causing the problem. After 15 years of dealing with pain and discomfort, I went to Sue Busen for sensitivity screening and it completely changed my life! She identified some food triggers such as gluten, and after eliminating it for two weeks, the stomach problems stopped.”

“I had migraines starting in college.  I never knew what caused them.  I would even end up in the ER because they made me so sick!    I actually had shots to give myself to try and treat the migraines.  I went to a ton of doctors for help.  Even went downtown to the renowned Migraine Clinic! Nothing was helping. I went to Sue once and she figured out the triggers to my migraines! I found out that corn syrup and gelatin were horrible for me.  Now that I eliminate those foods I have eliminated my migraines! It was that simple!!”
Janis Sterling, 36 years old

I am a 16 year old female. I have missed most of my junior year of High School because of severe fatigue and chronic stomach pains after every time I ate. I couldn’t go out with my friends; I only left the house for doctors’ appointments. I spent most of my time lying in bed waiting for my stomach to stop hurting or to have the energy to get out of bed.

My mom and I went to many doctors and had many tests done. The doctors suggested it was emotional so we went to psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors. Their pills didn’t help and their tests showed nothing.

We went to Sue and she found I was sensitive to several things including aspartame – I chew a lot of gum. Sue also found I was sensitive to gluten, wheat, and chicken. My favorite food to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is breaded chicken!

After removing these foods from my diet to see if it would help, I went back to Sue and she desensitized me to gluten, wheat and chicken in two visits. I feel like a new person! I can eat my favorite foods without my stomach hurting and I have more energy. I just took my ACT test and with a tutor’s help have almost completed all of my missed work.

I have enough energy to leave the house and I don’t have to worry that I will get sick while I am out. One of my anticipated birthday presents this month is for Sue to desensitize me to aspartame!”
